Kris Richardson grew up in the hearth industry through his family’s business, Arizona Fireplaces. After graduating from the University of Redlands in 2008, he began his career in sales and new product development at Arizona Fireplaces.

In 2009, Kris founded Modern Flames Electric Fireplaces, introducing innovative electric fireplace designs that set a new standard by making them more comparable to trending gas fireplaces. Building on this success, he established RPG Brands in 2019, which now includes Modern Flames Electric Fireplaces, Grand Canyon Gas Logs, Wildfire Outdoor Living, and Summit Open Luxury Fireplaces.

Together, these brands span every part of the hearth and outdoor living industry, with a high focus on design and engineering to deliver premium, innovative solutions in electric fireplaces, gas fireplaces, gas logs, gas grills, and outdoor living products—continually raising the bar to improve the industry.
