HPBA Annual Membership Meeting & Expo Opening Ceremony
Don’t Miss the Annual Membership Meeting and the annual passing of the gavel to the new HPBA Chairperson, which will immediately follow the Keynote Address. After a few words from HPBA 2019 Chairman Joe Burns and HPBA Expo Committee Chairman Cherie Feely, the ribbon cutting will immediately follow at 9:30am at the entrance to the Exhibit Hall.

In 2018, the Pellet Fuels Institute (PFI) launched an ambitious initiative to significantly increase the number of wood pellet burning appliances sold in North America. Installed pellet appliances are the lifeblood of the industry and the PFI is at work to grow consumer awareness and uptake of appliances that consume wood pellets. This breakfast discussion will feature PFI staff, appliance manufacturers and specialty hearth retailers outlining what we know about consumers’ perceptions about wood pellets, which messages are resonating with them and the work left in front of us to win new pellet consumers.
Hearth & Home Magazine’s 19th Annual Vesta Awards
The Vesta Awards program was created in 2001 by Hearth & Home magazine to recognize and honor manufacturers for their innovation in product design and/or technology. The 2019 program will be open for entries on November 1, 2018 at www.vestaawards.com.
Judging will take place the first day of the HPBExpo, March 14, 2019; judges are selected from the ranks of retailers, distributors, designers, laboratory scientists, affiliate leaders and industry consultants.
The Vesta Awards Ceremony will begin at 4:45pm on Friday, March 15, at the convention center. Winners and finalists will be featured in Hearth & Home’s April issue.
